President Ilham Alyev has announced that works will continue and expand throughout Azerbijan with additional funding for the development of the Azersu project.* While there has already been significant improvement, there is still considerable infrastructure yet to be done/created.
The project includes the construction of water lines to be laid in Sabunchu (6.5km), Mashtaga (9.2km), Amirjan (5.4km), Bulbule (6km). AZN 3.73 million (USD$2.2 million) was allocated from the state budget to Azersu JSC.
AzersuCIS, the GIS and 3D modeling solution, is just one example of collaboration with suppliers to solve the demands of such an expansive project. Bentley have been key in working alongside the restructuring project to gather and store data which can improve delivery throughout the entire network.**
The Networks International workshop sessions at WEX Global 2018 are designed to highlight and explore how other utilities, projects and companies can be involved with these types of opportunities.
